Major initiative to create ‘Greek FinTech Hub’ in the country, other SE Europe states

A new initiative to significantly boost and implement the use of “Fintech” in Greece’s domestic banking sector and in other southeast European countries’ credit systems is underway, with the participation of the National Bank (NBG), Endeavor Greece, the Onassis Foundation, the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and two major universities in the country – the National Kapodistrian and Metsovian University (Athens) and the Athens Economic University.

Another important partner is the European initiative Crowd Dialog.

According to the coordinator of the program NBG Business Seeds, Prof. Spyros Arsenis, the initiative began in the winter of 2020 in cooperation with Endeavor Greece, in order to create an inaugural “Greek Fintech Hub”.
