The oldest British travel magazine Wanderlust in its July / August 2021 issue filled its pages with Greece.
In the meantime, the positive promotion of Greece continues in a series of British print and electronic media, with the assistance of the EOT Foreign Service of Great Britain / Ireland, despite the restrictive measures in international travel, which the British government takes from time to time.
In more detail:
Wanderlust magazine dedicated the cover, the Editorial, but also 24 pages to the Greek islands and the Peloponnese, urging its 100,000 readers to discover, among other things, the least known – to the British public – diamonds of Greece, from Symi and Tilos, to Alonissos, Ikaria, and Samos.
Specifically, following the cooperation and assistance of the EOT Office of Great Britain with the photographic and information material, the July-August 2021 issue of Wanderlust, was recently published with:
* Cover dedicated to Greece under the title “Escaping the crowds in the Greek Islands”,
* 20 page tribute to smaller islands of our country and specifically: Samos, Chios, Ikaria, Patmos, Symi, Tilos, Nisyros, Astypalea, Andros, Tinos, Syros, Paros, Amorgos, Skopelos, Skyros, Alonissos, Lefkada, Kefalonia, Kefalonia, Kefalonia Kythira and Samothrace,
* 4-page travel experience in the Southern Peloponnese, exploring history, sites of incomparable beauty, gastronomy and places of special interest, promoting Laconian and Messinian Mani as ideal holiday destinations for the British market, all year round.
* Editorial- anthem to the beauties and hospitality of Greece by the Editor-in-Chief of the issue Mr. George Kipouros
According to the article by Mr. Kipouros: “Greece is one of the most favorite destinations for the British public, who every year dreams of a vacation in Greece! Despite the significant obstacles of the British government in international travel – which are still in force – our readers continue with undiminished interest to search for content about Greece in the websites and issues of the magazine. In the 20 pages we dedicate to the Greek islands, we focus only on those that do not have direct flights from Britain and we avoid the “traditional” search for sun / sea. Our goal is to confirm that Greece offers many, beautiful surprises to even the most experienced traveler.
Our suggestions concern activities in culture, traditions and nature while we urge the reading public to visit Greece all year round. Besides, the hospitable warmth of the Greek summer remains 365 days a year! George Kipouros, Editor-in-Chief, Wanderlust »
