The Thessaloniki metro will be ready by 2023, according to what the Deputy Minister of Interior and responsible for Macedonia-Thrace Stavros Kalafatis said, speaking at the stand of the Financial Post at the TIF.
He said that there is a general improvement in the transport structures of Thessaloniki, noting that the government of ND received the Thessaloniki public transport system with 235 buses, while at the moment, they have almost doubled.
At the same time, the Deputy Minister stressed that Thessaloniki and Northern Greece as a whole should be repositioned in the new era, while referring to a series of projects, which are already being implemented.
