Schools closed in several storm-affected areas of Greece on Friday

Pre-schools, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools will remain closed in several regions around Greece on Friday, as a second day of a particularly intense storm front passed through much of the country. Specifically, childcare units and schools will not open in the greater Athens area, in Halkidiki prefecture in the north, the large island of Evia, straddling the eastern mainland, and the Ionian island of Corfu.
