Metaxa Hospitality Group set a goal to create a group of “sustainable” suppliers, and in this direction held its first meeting with its suppliers – partners at its hotel, TML Candia Maris in Ammoudara, Heraklion, Crete.
This action with strong elements of innovation, is organized for the first time by a Hotel Group in Greece and is an initiative of Metaxa Hospitality Group to train its partners-suppliers in the “sustainable” way of food production and in the “sustainable” corporate governance.
The Metaxa Hospitality Group organically – and through local communities – links sustainability with social responsibility, reaffirming that Sustainable Procurement is an important component of the Green Transition industry.
The project incorporates the know-how of Building Sustainable Procurement by a special project team for sustainability issues, Local Food Experts.
The CEO of the Group, Mr. Andreas Metaxas in his statements noted that the creation of a team of Sustainable Suppliers confirms the role of sustainability as a structural element of the physiognomy and mission of our Group for 46 years. In this way, we ensure not only the contact of our visitors with the products and the tradition of our home, but we also contribute substantially to the sustainable development of the local communities and the environment.
