A new chapter opens today for ENGIE Hellas, after more than twenty years of leading presence in the field of real estate management (Facility Management) in Greece, according to a relevant announcement.
The SMERemediumCap investment fund acquired the share control of ENGIE Hellas with the aim of upgrading the company and the quality provision of integrated real estate management services.
At the same time, ENGIE Hellas has been renamed CORDIA.
The new shareholder of CORDIA, the investment fund SMERemediumCap, is staffed by an experienced investment team that focuses its investment interest mainly on medium-sized Greek manufacturing companies with strong growth prospects and recovery. The Investment Fund manages funds of 143 million euros from 42 institutional, corporate and private investors, including distinguished Greek and international institutional investors, pension funds, insurance companies and family investment offices. The Executive Chairman of the SMERemediumCap investment fund is Mr. Nikolaos Karamouzis.
CORDIA remains the preferred partner of the French company ENGIE in Greece, for international Facility Management contracts.
CORDIA (formerly Engie Hellas) has been active in our country since 2000 in the field of property management. At the end of 2020 it had a turnover of 20.4 million euros and more than 200 employees. Its client portfolio includes long-term collaborations related to the overall management and maintenance of many important one-stop shop facilities, such as those of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), the McArthurGlen discount village, the Bank’s data center, etc.
The business vision
On the occasion of the change of the shareholder composition and the renaming of the company to CORDIA, Mr. Nikos Karamouzis, President of the investment fund SMERemediumCap (SMERC), which now owns almost all the shares of CORDIA, said:
“Nowadays, a pioneering and dynamic organization can and must constantly evolve and, above all, adapt to modern data and requirements, in order to lead developments in a highly competitive environment characterized by new challenges, risks and new chances. Both SMERemediumCap and the management and people of CORDIA, the most valuable asset of the company, are moving forward vigorously in achieving an ambitious business vision and achieving a number of important goals. The main goal is the creation of the strongest and highest quality company in the field of real estate management (Facility Management) and energy services in Greece. In this context, we immediately increase the share capital of the company amounting to € 2.7 million. Our goal is to continue and improve the strong footprint of the quality services offered by Engie Hellas in recent years and to create a pioneer, responsible and dynamic organization with a leading presence and customer focus in the market. We will offer our customers the full range of activities in the industry, ie all building management services (technical maintenance, energy solutions, electrification, cleaning and security of buildings, security systems, other services).
Our commitment is to further strengthen the range of specialized and personalized solutions that our company will offer to its customers, in order for it to fully meet their evolving needs. “To achieve our goal, we have already implemented an extremely ambitious strategic plan.”
Mr. George Daniolos, President of CORDIA, stated:
