This morning, the trial of Dimitris Lignadis, which started on February 11 and was interrupted by the artist’s attorney, Alexis Kougias, is going to continue before the court.

The court is expected to proceed with the reading of the indictment, asking the former head of the National Theater to state his how he stands vis-à-vis accusations for four rapes against three minor boys, at the time of the act, and an adult man.

The artist from the first moment denies the accusations made against him, which led to his arrest and temporary detention a year ago, claiming that the whole case is fabricated and related to the controversy he has had for a number of years with the Administration of the Actors Union.

Three of the four complainants were present in the courtroom at the start of the trial, with the fourth assuring the court that he would be present when called to testify.
