
The acquisition of Vasilakopoulos Recycling SA, a company that is active in the collection and sorting of recyclable materials, was announced by Polygreen, which is active in the field of circular economy.
According to the announcement of the company, this acquisition is the first step of its investment plan for 2022, in order to offer to its clientele in Greece a complete and integrated package of waste management services.
With the acquisition of Vasilakopoulos Recycling SA, Polygreen upgrades its facilities and strengthens its infrastructure in the country, adding to its potential a functional and profitable unit that has a privately owned plot in the heart of the industrial area, in Aspropyrgos, Attica, modern equipment and a remarkable fleet of vehicles. At the same time, it verticalizes its services offered in the field of recycling, in addition to undertaking the collection, sorting, transport and packaging of materials, and expands its existing customer base through the network of the newly acquired company.
Polygreen is a Greek-owned company, founded in 2018 and started operating in Greece in March 2021 and operates in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2021, the total amount of its investments in Greece and abroad exceeded 20 million euros, which included, among other things, the purchase of a special ship to deal with and restore marine pollution and the development of its presence and infrastructure in the Middle East. and Africa but also the organization and strengthening of its infrastructure in Greece.
