The erstwhile “Rest of Attica” voter district, which as of 2019 was divided into the electoral districts of East and West Attica, had a pleasant surprise in store for New Democracy in the May 21 elections.
Its rise in Eastern Attica by 2.38% and especially in Western Attica by 7.38% formed a new balance in the two constituencies.
This exact increase combined with the existence of a five-party Parliament was also expressed in the distribution of seats where New Democracy won 9 out of 16 seats.
The new elections will affect the distribution of seats, especially in Eastern Attica, where due to the large number of voters, almost all parties that exceed 3% nationwide are expected to find parliamentary representation, giving headaches to the New Democracy candidates who are in sixth and seventh place on the list.
