Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who was sworn-in earlier on Monday as Greece’s prime minister for a second consecutive term, will reportedly unveil the members of his government at roughly 5 p.m. (15.00 GMT).
Mitsotakis received a mandate to form a new government after his center-right New Democracy (ND) party posted a landslide election victory a day earlier, taking 40.6 percent of the vote in a general election.
“It is a special honor to receive this mandate to form a government with a four-year horizon,” Mitsotakis said during his meeting with Greek President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou at the presidential mansion on Monday morning.
“We have a strong mandate and a parliamentary majority, our government will be a government of hard work and practical results,” he added.
Mitsotakis was sworn-in with a religious oath administered by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, before Sakellaropoulou and with his immediate family also present.
New elected Parliament deputies will be sworn-in next Monday.
