Greece’s state-run Public Power Corp. (PPC), the dominant power producer and provider in the country, is reportedly in exclusive negotiations with UK-based Currys for the latter’s Kotsovolos electrical and white goods store chain.
According to sources, ATHEX-listed PPC kept a “low profile” during the binding offer phase in the “flexible tender” sale process, avoiding any comment on its possible interest in the store chain, whose roughly 90 outlets are predominately located in Greece, but with a few on Cyprus.
Another three contenders had expressed interest in the chain, including Quest, whose iSquare is an official distributor of Apple products in Greece and Cyprus since 2009.
