MEGA Channel, consistently committed to delivering reliable and credible news, continues to innovate with MEGA News. The network’s new 24-hour news channel is an ambitious initiative by Alter Ego Media, aiming to provide comprehensive news coverage throughout the day.
MEGA News (a FAST – Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV – channel), will officially launch on Monday, March 31, and will be available via MEGA Play, the website www.megatv.com, and from May 1 on COSMOTE TV.
For the first time on Greek television, viewers will have access to a a continuous stream of news programming through hybrid TV technology. The channel will feature MEGA’s existing news programming, brand-new-programs and live coverage of major events.
At the heart of these new productions lies a steadfast commitment to delivering accurate and in-depth reporting on current affairs. Coverage will span key areas including Politics, Economy, Business, Energy, Investments, Technology, Culture, and Science, with expert analysis from MEGA’s team of experienced journalists.
With the prestige and expertise of Oikonomikos Tachydromos (OT) alongside new daily and weekly programs, one-minute news bulletins, a magazine show, and a new political talk show, MEGA News is dedicated to delivering the most comprehensive coverage of both domestic and international developments.
Additionally, the channel’s schedule—constantly evolving—will also include archival news programs from MEGA that have made television history.
The programming and editorial direction of MEGA News will be overseen by MEGA’s News and Information Division, under the leadership of News Director Stamatis Malelis.
