Vehicle owners in Greece are racing against the clock to pay their 2026 circulation fees, with the deadline set for December 31. Those who miss the cutoff face escalating penalties, starting at 25% of the fee for January payments and increasing to 50% in February. From March 1 onward, unpaid fees incur double the original amount, with a minimum fine of €30, even for vehicles with low tax rates.
Payments can be made online through the myAADE platform, either via TAXISnet or directly through the myCAR system. The platform offers two main services:
- Vehicle Circulation Fees – Owners can view fee information, generate payment codes individually or in bulk (Excel), obtain certificates for vehicle transfers, exports, or re-registration, and check for any outstanding amounts.
- Digital Immobilization/Circulation – This feature allows vehicle owners to declare cars or motorcycles temporarily out of service, lift immobilization, or retrieve previously submitted declarations.
To use this service, the vehicle and its plates must correspond to the declared status.
The government emphasizes timely payment to avoid penalties and ensure compliance with Greek tax regulations. The myCAR platform provides step-by-step guidance for fee payment without the need for TAXISnet login, making the process accessible for all vehicle owners.
