Cenergy Holdings SA this week announced that a bid by Hellenic Cables, in partnership with Asso.subsea Ltd, has been selected by Terna Energy S.A. for the construction, procurement and installation of a 150kV underwater cable system that will connect the 330 MW Kafireas ΙΙ wind part with the mainland Greece grid.
The specific wind farm is located in the southeast tip of large Evia island, one of the most windswept regions in Greece.
The 70-kilometer cable link (another 11 kilometers on land) will come onshore at the 150 kV Lavrio substation, southeast of greater Athens.
