Greece’s tourism ministry announced on Wednesday that it intends to lease pre-approved tourism lodgings to cover Covid-19 public health crises, if such arise, during the coming tourism season in the country, which will commence on May 15.
Owners and operators of lodgings, including hotels, are invited to submit an application, although in terms of the latter, they need to be at least at the two-star or two-key level to qualify.
If accepted, the businesses will have to register on the notifybusiness.gov.gr platform. Additionally owners and operators will have to commit to accepting Covid-19 cases if any arise from holiday-makers visiting the country during the coming season.
