Study – 66% of Greek respondents in study say they’ll spend more on upcoming holidays, compared to 2020

A study unveiled on Tuesday shows nearly two-thirds (66 percent) of Greek respondents saying they will spend more on shopping during the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s holiday, in part due to the fact that 42 percent of those who were queried said they have more savings, compared to last year.

The same study, entitled Holiday Shopping Trends 2021, and conducted by Sitecore, shows that 50 percent of Greek respondents consider their mental health as good, agreeing with the prospect of spending more on themselves as a type of “therapy” after a difficult year due to the pandemic.

The study also shows that 84 percent of consumers said the pandemic caused them to deal more with their mental health, their own and their families’ needs, along with friends and co-workers.

Some 77 percent answered that they no value trips and other cultures more, than in the pre-pandemic period.
