BoG Gov. Stournaras – Central banks can undertake active role in tackling climate change

Bank of Greece (BoG) Gov. Yannis Stournaras referred to Euro zone central banks and the issue of climate change’s impact on the economy in his latest op-ed for the German financial daily “Handelsblatt”.

Among others, the influential central banker and former Greek finance minister again underlined that climate change risks, a source of instability and financial vulnerability, can in the end be turned into an opportunity.
