
INTERAMERICAN participated again this year in the 2nd Digital Panorama of Entrepreneurship, which took place from 7 to 9 October through the interactive platform https://panorama.vicks.com, with the participation of its executives in the thematic discussions, as well as the sponsor of the big event. The company’s interest in the most important meeting in our place of the new generation with the business world is related to the corporate strategy of sustainable development and the perspective for work, as reflected in its modern organizational model.
This year, INTERAMERICAN completed a profound change in the way it works with a structural transformation, which was based on the concept of a more flexible operation with the aim of higher efficiency and employee satisfaction, combined with improved customer satisfaction. This big change for the better performance presupposes a stronger relationship of mutual commitment and trust between the company-human resources-those insured.
The new model at INTERAMERICAN reduces leadership levels, promotes teamwork and leverages participation, while relying on the parallel and continuous digital transformation and emerging needs for new skills at work, with an emphasis on innovation. At the same time, it cultivates a new understanding of the working environment and employment conditions, including inclusion, respect for diversity and the provision of equal opportunities and possibilities to staff, without discrimination.
The future of work
INTERAMERICAN was represented by Drosia Kardasi, Head of Human Resources, at a panel on career opportunities at insurance companies. The future of work was discussed, both in the traditional professions and in the emerging ones, which relate more to the specialization related to technology, data management, etc.
In particular, Ms. Kardassi referred to the new way of working in the company and the relationship between transformation and digitization and the use of new technologies. “Digital transformation is a one-way street. Through insurtech, the cloud, digital innovation, we focus on the new experience of our policyholders and the best support of our partners. He also stressed that the insurance industry is a meeting place of various sciences and skills, offering important career opportunities and opportunities for development in a positive, creative environment.
Analytics skills
Babis Babilis, Data & Analytics Leader of the company, participated in another panel of interlocutors, on the subject of the required skills in the field of Analytics. Mr. Babilis analyzed the way in which INTERAMERICAN uses analytics in the daily life of its operations, “integrating the use of predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence in decision making”. As he underlined, “analytical thinking skills, problem-solving skills and knowledge of statistical tools are essential for a young person to work in this field”.
The presence of the company was completed in two more points of the works of the three-day Panorama. On the one hand with workshops of two groups, in which the young people took part, had the opportunity to get acquainted with the daily life of the employees and the new way of working and on the other hand through direct interaction, through chatting, with representatives of INTERAMERICAN.
The event “Digital Panorama of Entrepreneurship” is the continuation of the respective events that took place during the pre-pandemic years at the Athens Concert Hall and is considered as the most important online meeting of young people aged 18-30, with businesses. The goal is to be informed about the trends and opportunities in the labor market and to be inspired by success stories, in order to discover the career path that really suits them. Career Days, hosted by educational backgrounds from the Polytechnic, Informatics, Schools of Economics, Positive Sciences and Agriculture, was attended by about 220 speakers and more than 40 companies with their digital kiosks.
