The new measures announced by the government are provoking reactions in the hairdressers, with industry professionals protesting that they are called to turn into control mechanisms and warning that the new decisions will bring prosperity to the informal economy with home visits.
In their announcement, the members of the Federation of Hairdressers and Barber Shopkeepers of Greece talk about a significant restriction in the operation of their businesses and revenues, and today they close their stores all over Greece protesting against the new measures against the coronavirus.
Protest at the Ministry of Development
Barbers and hairdressers will gather at 9:30 at the Ministry of Development & Investment, where they will file a memorandum of protest for the financial assistance that the industry did not receive.
They are asking for their exemption from the measures as their stores are subject to “health interest” measures and ensure the protection of customers with the right hygiene measures.
