A supplementary budget of 2.6 billion euros for the ongoing year was ratified in a plenary vote in Greece’s Parliament on Tuesday.
The supplementary budget was approved by deputies of ruling New Democracy (ND), PASOK- KINAL and the smaller Helleniki Lysi (Greek Solution) party. The draft bill was rejected by deputies of main opposition SYRIZA, the Communist Party Yanis Varoufakis’ MeRA25.
The supplementary budget was incorporated in a finance ministry draft bill, which included several European Union directives. The latter was also ratified.
