The northern port city of Thessaloniki has posted a significant hike in its international ranking for congress and conventional tourism, rising to 47th from 70th place in 2019.
As far as European destinations are concerned, it rose to 35th place, up from 39th three years ago.
The figures were provided by the International Congress & Convention Association (ICCA), and were presented at the IMEX 2022 exhibition in Frankfurt, one of the biggest sector trade shows.
