On Thursday, January 12, 2023, the inspections and autopsies by engineers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, in residences, business premises and public buildings in the affected areas of Lesvos, were completed.
In the affected areas, the damage to the affected buildings (residences, public buildings, school units, health centers) was assessed by engineers of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
A total of 240 buildings have been checked:
Of these, 217 concern residences, of which 42 have been deemed uninhabitable.
Also, 9 business premises have been checked, of which 3 are unsuitable.
Regarding the holy temples and public buildings, 4 of the 11 checks that were conducted have been characterized as “yellow”, while in other buildings (warehouses, stables) out of 3, 2 were deemed uninhabitable
