An attempt to prevent the fire burning in Dervenochoria from spreading
The most difficult point in which the fire brigades operate is in Dervenochoria.
“We have a very active front south of the Titan factory, which is troubling us, causing us many flare-ups,” noted the representative of the Fire Department, Ioannis Artopioos.
However, there is still no residential area at risk, nor has it been necessary to order the evacuation of areas, as he told MEGA channel.
Because the fire is burning in a virgin forest, in a very difficult place and in combination with the strong winds that are blowing, it is very difficult to control.
140 firefighters, 48 vehicles, 6 aircraft and a helicopter operate in Dervenochoria.
