Greece’s finance and economy ministry on Friday announced a primary surplus of 4.519 billion euros in the first half of 2025, based on figures on the execution of the state budget.
According to the data available on a modified cash basis, the state budget balance between January and June of 2025 posted a deficit of 564 million euros, compared to a target of 2.795 billion euros for the first half of 2025, as well as and a deficit of 2.256 billion euros for the same period of 2024.
The state budget primary balance on a modified cash basis posted a surplus of 4.519 billion euros, against the primary surplus target of 2.235 billion euros and a primary surplus of 2.905 billion euros posted at the same period of the previous year.
