etlen, through its M Power Projects division, has officially delivered Athens-3 (ATH3) Data Center to Digital Realty, marking a milestone in Greece’s digital infrastructure. Located in Koropi, near Athens, ATH3 is the country’s largest and one of its most advanced data centers.
As the main contractor, Metlen built ATH3 to meet international standards for security, performance, and sustainability. The facility offers state-of-the-art data storage, management, and global cloud connectivity, serving clients in Greece, Southeast Europe, and beyond. Its strategic significance is underscored by strong interest from leading global service providers.
ATH3 joins Digital Realty’s existing facilities in Greece — Athens-1 (ATH1), Athens-2 (ATH2), and Heraklion-1 (HER1) — further enhancing the company’s presence in the region. Spanning 8,600 square meters, ATH3 can support up to 6.8 MW of capacity, making it the largest operational data center in the country.
Digital Realty, a global leader in data center, colocation, and interconnection services with over 300 facilities in 25+ countries, has been investing in Greece since acquiring Lamda Helix in 2020. This expansion aims to position the country as a key Mediterranean interconnection hub.
The company is already constructing Athens-4 (ATH4), located next to ATH3, which will add another 6.8 MW of capacity and is expected to be operational in early 2026. Plans are also underway for Athens-5 (ATH5) and additional facilities, including Heraklion-1 (HER1) in Crete.
