MYTILINEOS (RIC: MYTr.AT, Bloomberg: MYTIL.GA, ADR: MYTHY US) through its Renewable-Energy Storage Devices sector (RSD), announced the undertaking of a new project for the Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 28 MW photovoltaic park in Spain, with the subsidiary of Ellomay Capital Ltd, Ellomay Solar SLU («Ellomay Solar»)
In addition to the EPC, the contract also includes ancillary facilities for the supply of electricity into the grid, as well as the provision of operation and maintenance services (O & M) for two years.
The RSD Sector is expected to complete the work, under the agreement, within 9 months of receiving the Notice to Proceed. The first works started on March 1, 2021 and the Work Start Notice is expected to be issued during May 2021.
The EPC agreement provides for a fixed and lump sum of € 15.32 million for the full execution of the projects, as defined.
This is MYTILINEOS ‘second contract with Ellomay Solar, as the Company has successfully completed the large-scale photovoltaic project “Talasol”, with a capacity of 300 MWp in the municipality of Talaván, Cáceres, Spain. Talasol is one of the largest projects built in Europe last year and the plant was commissioned in January.
In addition, the Company announced an additional EPC agreement with EnfraGen, LLC (“EnfraGen”), for 10 projects of 12.5 MWp each (total capacity 125MWp).
All the projects are located in the central part of Chile and will be built in two phases, starting from the end of April until the end of June 2021. These 10 projects are expected to be interconnected with the Network by January 2022. For this project, the RSD Division is cooperating with Elector SA. The contract amounts to $ 76.8 million.
MYTILINEOS RSD Sector has already established itself in Chile, having implemented significant and demanding projects and continues to expand into the Latin American market.
These new agreements prove that the RSD Sector is recognized worldwide as the preferred EPC contractor and partner of major international energy companies.
