The new big increase in producer prices in industry is a harbinger of new price increases in the product market.
In particular, according to ELSTAT, the General Producer Price Index in Industry (total domestic and foreign market) increased by 24.5% in November 2021, compared to the corresponding index of November 2020.
The General Index in November 2021, compared to the index of October 2021, showed an increase of 1.1% compared to an increase of 0.3% recorded during the corresponding comparison of the indices of 2020.
The average General Index of the twelve months December 2020 – November 2021, compared to the average General Index of the twelve months December 2019 – November 2020, showed an increase of 10.5% compared to a decrease of 6.3% in the corresponding comparison of the previous twelve months.
