Eurostat estimates inflation in Greece at 5.5% on an annual basis for January 2022, recording a jump of 1.1% compared to December 2021.
In terms of the eurozone, inflation is expected to reach 5.1% in January 2022, from 5.0% in December.

Looking at the main components of inflation in the eurozone, energy is expected to have its highest annual rate in January with a jump of 28.6% (compared to 25.9% in December), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (3.6 %, compared to 3.2% in December), services (2.4%, the same levels as in December) and non-energy industrial goods (2.3%, compared to 2.9% in December).
