The total value of imports – arrivals during the period January-February 2022 amounted to 13,163.0 million euros (14,867.3 million dollars) against 8,061.5 million euros (9,755.5 million dollars) in same period of 2021, showing an increase of 63.3% in euros.
The corresponding value without petroleum products increased by 2,651.3 million euros, ie 41.9% and the corresponding value without petroleum products and ships increased by 2,631.0 million euros, ie 41.8%, compared to the period January-February 2021.
Exports
The total value of exports – shipments during the period January-February 2022 amounted to 7,071.1 million euros ($ 8,034.7 million) compared to 5,430.0 million euros ($ 6,609.2 million) in same period of 2021, showing an increase of 30.2% in euros. The corresponding value without petroleum products increased by 1,005.4 million euros, ie 24.2% and the corresponding value without petroleum products and ships increased by 1,001.0 million euros, ie 24.2%, compared to the period January-February 2021.
The total value of exports – shipments in the month of February 2022 amounted to 3,645.7 million euros ($ 4,147.6 million) against 2,907.5 million euros ($ 3,528.1 million) in the same month of the year 2021 showing an increase, in euros, of 25.4%. The corresponding value without petroleum products in February 2022 increased by 564.4 million euros, ie 26.4% and the corresponding value without petroleum products and ships in February 2022 increased by 563.4 million euros, that is 26.4%, compared to the month of February 2021.
The trade deficit in February 2022 amounted to 3,128.5 million euros ($ 3,513.0 million) compared to 1,150.9 million euros ($ 1,366.9 million) in the same month of 2021, showing increase, in euros, 171.8%. The corresponding value without petroleum products in February 2022 showed an increase in the deficit by 741.9 million euros, ie 67.8%, while the corresponding value without petroleum products and ships in February 2022 showed an increase by 735.7 million euros, ie 67.5% compared to the month of February 2021.
