Cruise ships keep arriving at record rates at the ports of Greece and especially at Souda, the port of Chania, with tourists giving Greece the “thumbs up” this year for their summer vacations.
However, the cruise ship that today docked in the port of Souda became ‘talk of the town’, as it’s enormous silhouette nearly eclipsed the sun.
The ship was none other than the Riviera cruise ship, which is also considered one of the largest cruise ships of the last 50 years. Crammed with all sorts of amenities and facilities it’s no wonder that some refer to it as a city afloat.
The ship arrived for the first time this year in Chania from Montenegro, while it will depart in the afternoon for Santorini with 723 passengers.
