
Sunlight Group Energy Storage Systems continues its dynamic expansion plan, proceeding with the acquisition of 51% of the share capital of the company A. Müller GmbH Industriebatterien-Stromversorgungssysteme (A. Müller GmbH). The agreement further strengthens Sunlight Group‘s sales and service network especially for lithium-ion products.

A. Müller GmbH has over 30 years of experience in the wholesale of batteries, power systems, charging technologies and accessories. The parent company operates from five locations in Germany and also operates sales and distribution offices in the Netherlands, Denmark, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, employing more than 130 employees. A. Müller also provides battery repair and maintenance services by qualified personnel, as well as battery disposal in a professional and environmentally friendly manner.
Following the approval of the transaction by the German Federal Competition Commission, the acquisition of 51% of the share capital of A. Müller GmbH by Sunlight Group has been completed, pursuant to the relevant agreement signed on May 17, 2022 by the CEO of Sunlight Group , Mr. Lambros Bisalas, and the owner and CEO of Müller Anlagen GmbH & Co. KG (Müller Anlagen), Mr. Erik Müller. The agreement provides for Sunlight to acquire 51% of A. Müller GmbH, while Müller Anlagen retains 49% of the company and Mr. Müller remains as CEO.
Plan to invest 560 million euros
Following the acquisition of PBM in April 2022 and Technoform at the end of 2021, Sunlight Group is on course to implement its dynamic €560 million business plan. The five-year plan (2021-2026) aims to expand the company’s production potential in lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries and energy storage systems, as well as to develop its supply chain and sales network. For this purpose, Sunlight is investing millions in equipment, automated production and assembly lines, Research & Development, human resources, as well as Mergers & Acquisitions, at its facilities in Greece and abroad.
