Registered unemployment in Greece totaled 921,647 in June 2022, down 0.52 percent from the previous, May 2022, and down 2.85 percent compared with the same in 2021, the recently renamed Public Employment Service (DYPA) announced on Wednesday.
Specifically, the number of registered unemployed actively seeking a job totaled 914,706 in June 2022, of which 515,202 (56,32 percent) are designated as long-tern unemployed.
Men accounted for 306,957 (33.56 percent) of the registered jobless; women totaled 607,749 (66.44 percent).
Registered unemployed not actively seeking employment reached 6,941 in June.
The number of people receiving jobless benefits reached 104,966 in June 2022.
