PMI in Greece fell to 48.1 points in October 2022, down from 49.7 in the previous month, September 2022, posting the biggest decline since December 2020, a report by S&P Global revealed on Tuesday.

The downturn reflects a continuing slide in production by manufacturers in the country, for the fifth consecutive month. The development is linked with weak consumer demand and reduced new orders.

New orders fell sharply, affected by higher inflation and energy costs, thus undermining purchasing power.
