Greece’s chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, Gen. Konstantinos Floros, will reportedly have his term renewed for one-year, sources said on Tuesday after the conclusion of a government council for foreign affairs and defence (KYSEA) meeting in Athens, chaired by PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The same sources, however, said the specific matter was not on the agenda of discussion on Tuesday.
A press release merely noted that upgrades in military equipment and managing the problem of illegal immigration in the Evros prefecture and the Aegean Sea region were discussed.
