Greece’s registered population of legal residents reached 9,716,889 individuals, according to results of the delayed Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT) population and housing census conducted in 2021.
Specific numbers per region and municipality will be published in the Greek government’s gazette.
The figure is roughly 200,000 less people than the previous census, conducted a decade ago.
