Greek authorities’ investigation into a two-day cyber attack against an online platform containing questions for high school advancement exams in the country has so far revealed that more than 100,000 e-mail addresses were used in the electronic sabotage.

In a detail examination of some 7,500 such email addresses at least 30 emails have been recorded by Greece’s intelligence agency, and other national intelligence services, as being connected with pro-Russian hackers. The latter loosely operate under the name “Killnet”.

Greek officials added, however, that the examined sample is still very small, thus too early to draw definitive conclusions over the attacks.
