
The Ministry of Labor and Social Security will proceed with reforming the institutional framework for Health and Safety in the next period of time, as announced by Deputy Minister Vassilis Spanakis, speaking from the stage of the event “Opportunities, risks and challenges for Health and Safety in the digital age”.
The event took place within the framework of the Pan-European Campaign “Safe and Healthy Workplaces” 2023-2025 and was jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the European Organization for Health and Safety at Work.
As the deputy minister emphasized, “we have a lot of work ahead of us in matters of health and safety at work. We are starting a substantial institutional change and we want you all with us”.
Utilization of intelligent digital tools
Also, referring to the new data that the country’s digital transition has shaped in the workplace, Mr. Spanakis stated that “The speed of technological developments and the tendency for increasing use of intelligent digital tools and artificial intelligence systems are forming a new reality in the conditions of work, which calls us to constant information and initiative for the essential protection of the health and safety of employees”.
In closing, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vassilis Spanakis, emphasized that “At the Ministry of Labor and Security, we are in constant communication with social partners, with organizations and representatives of employees, employers and businesses, and we are committed to the continuous qualitative upgrading of working conditions with a view to health and safety of workers”.
