Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will travel to New York City on Monday to participate in the session of the 80th UN General Assembly, his office announced over the weekend in releasing a relevant itinerary.
Mitsotakis will address the general assembly on Friday, Sept. 26, where he’ll reportedly cite a fragile international and regional geopolitical situation, along with Greece’s position as a component of stability amid this situation. He’s also expected to refer to the challenges and risks, from Ukraine to the Middle East.
The Greek leader will be received by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Friday morning at the UN headquarters.

Earlier on Tuesday, he is set to participate in a reception held in honor of attending world leader by US President Donald Trump.
A day later, on Wednesday, Mitsotakis will participate in two UN-related sessions, namely, one organized by Australia focusing on the protection of minors on the Internet, and the second convened on the issue of AI and international peace and security by the South Korean presidency of the UNSC.
On Wednesday afternoon, Mitsotakis will open a reception hosted by 28 Greek-American organizations – AHEPA, HALC PSEKA, AHI, HANC, HACC and others – where distinguished Greek-Americans will be honored.
While in the “Big Apple”, the pro-business Mitsotakis has scheduled meeting with a series of fund managers and institutional investors, along with top executives of companies active in the energy, defense and pharmaceutical sectors.
