The Athens Chamber of Commerce emphasized that the holiday hours, in effect since Thursday, December 11, are indicative and optional. Individual businesses can adjust their opening hours according to their operational needs, within the framework set by state regulations, which allow trading Monday to Saturday from 06:00 to 21:00 and Sunday from 11:00 to 20:00.
Under the proposed festive timetable, most stores will remain open every day with continuous hours from 09:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, 09:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays, and special Sunday hours. On this first Sunday, shops will operate from 11:00 to 16:00, while the two subsequent Sundays will see stores open from 11:00 to 18:00.
