British American Tobacco Hellas donates cutting-edge equipment to Greek state for fight against smuggling

A special unit combating bootlegging and smuggling, especially tobacco and alcohol products, operating within Greece’s independent public revenues authority (AADE), on Tuesday received a major donation comprised of high-tech equipment, donated by British American Tobacco Hellas.

The equipment was handed over and a special agreement signed at the unit’s headquarters, with relevant Deputy Economy Minister Apostolos Vesyropoulos saying the state-of-the-art equipment will be used to combat smuggling.
