The inflation rate for August 2021 in Greece increased by 1.9 percent, compared to an annualized increase of 1.4 percent in July 2021 and a decrease of 1.9 percent in the corresponding month of 2020.
The most ominous and shocking price hike was recorded in rates for natural gas, which between August 2020 and 2021 increased by an eyebrow-raising 91 percent; 23 percent for heating oil and 17.4 for fuels.
