Former Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos has been appointed a member of the seven-member Council of Europe’s High-level Reflection Group.
The High Level Group was set up by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Marija Pejčinović Burić, in implementation of a decision by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, in order to opine on the role to be played by the Council of Europe, promoting its statutory goals and European values.
Who’s who
The high-level group includes, in addition to Mr Venizelos, former Prime Ministers of France Bernard Cazeneuve and Slovakia Iveta Radičová, former High Representative of the EU Federica Mogherini, former Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide and former Andorra House Speaker Josep Dallerès Codina.
