“The real impact of big increases in energy is yet to come. “If the phenomenon continues, the measures will continue after the end of the year,” Development Minister Adonis Georgiadis told SKAI television.
“We will not let the people who are weak freeze, the government is on top of things,” he assured.
“To date, there are no generalized phenomena of profiteering,” the Minister of Development assured, emphasizing that systematic inspections are carried out.
The minister referred to Eurostat data according to which Greece has the 3rd best performance in the Eurozone with inflation standing at 2.1%. “Spain is 4.1% and we are 2.1% and Tsipras told us to follow the Spanish example. Greece is stable in the countries with the lowest inflation in Europe, we are the 3rd with a difference of 0.1 from the second.”
In other countries, not only in the UK, there are shortages in supermarkets, we have no shortage in the supply chain, he said.
The electricity charges, he noted, will be an additional 1 to 2 euros per month. As concerns the heating subsidy the beneficiaries will find an increase of the amount by 20%.
Mr. Georgiadis underlined that the benefits of development will be distributed fairly to all Greeks
Referring to the parades, he noted that they should be done.
