Greece-China: Joint Action Plan in the tourism sector for 2022-2024

The Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilias held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Athens Xiao Junzheng.

Mr. Kikilias referred to the importance he attaches to the further strengthening of the tourist promotion of Greece in the Chinese market through targeted initiatives and actions.

In this context, on Monday, March 14, a Joint Action Plan in the tourism sector for the period 2022-2024 will be signed between the Ministry of Tourism of the Hellenic Republic and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of the People’s Republic of China.

The Program focuses on the national tourism promotion and the strengthening of the cooperation between the two countries, in areas such as cultural tourism, wedding tourism, medical tourism and wellness tourism.

For his part, Mr. Junzheng noted that the undertaking of targeted actions is particularly important, underlining his belief in the great potential that exists bilaterally in the field of Tourism.
