Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated in a European Council teleconference with the continent’s other leaders on Tuesday, a meeting chaired by the body’s president, Charles Michel.
The Greek leader again reiterated his proposals to deal with skyrocketing energy costs in the bloc, calling for a “European answer to a European problem”.
Athens has promoted and is a major supporter of the idea of the EU procuring natural gas as a single customer, just as it did with the purchase of Covid-19 vaccinations.
