Attica Group has announced the launch of the three new Aero Highspeed Catamarans, which were built at Brødrene Aa shipyards in Norway.
As mentioned in the relevant announcement, Aero Highspeed started services on Monday, August 8 on the Argosaronic Gulf lines, and will cover the connections of Piraeus with Aegina, Agistri, Poros, Hydra, Spetses, Ermioni and Porto Heli with up to 17 daily routes, replacing older technology ships of the Group in the specific destinations.

The cost of the investment
The total cost of the investment amounts to 21 million euros and was covered by equity and bank borrowing.

“The new, state-of-the-art and modern aesthetic ships have been designed with innovative features that completely upgrade the services offered, providing the more than 3 million passengers who travel annually on the Argosaronic lines, a new and unique travel experience. With their routing, the transportation capacity for the destinations of the Argosaronic will be increased, thus creating the conditions for the further economic development of the islands and local communities” emphasizes the announcement adding:
“The ships have a maximum speed of 32.2 knots with a full load, an overall length of 36 meters, a width of 9.7 meters and a carrying capacity of 150 passengers. The interior layout and in general their innovative design aims to offer the passenger high-level services, such as comfortable travel even in high wave conditions, spacious passenger living spaces, space for the transport of bicycles, high-standard space for the transport of pets”.
Attica Group is active in passenger shipping through SUPERFAST FERRIES, BLUE STAR FERRIES, HELLENIC SEAWAYS and AFRICA MOROCCO LINK with a total of 35 ships that offer modern, high-level transport services in Greece and abroad. The ships in its fleet travel to 4 countries, to 60 unique destinations, calling at 71 ports, carrying over 7 million passengers, 1 million vehicles. vehicles and 400,000 trucks per year.
