Cruises: Positive first signs for Greek tourism

According to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), more than 20 cruise companies have so far scheduled tours throughout Greece for this year, with calls to a total of 45 ports, evidence of both the renewed dynamics of the industry and the dynamics of Greece. as a top cruise destination.

At least 15 of these cruise companies have planned itineraries starting from Greek ports.

It is worth remembering that cruises have already started from the first day of the opening of tourism in Greece, with four companies operating in May. In total, almost 40 cruise ships are expected to operate in Greece this year.

The industry, according to CLIA, contributes almost 1 billion euros annually to the Greek economy, including travel agencies, tour guides, port authorities, and many other service providers across the country.

With more than 5 million passengers a year, Greece is considered one of the most popular cruise destination countries in the world.
