Navios places new order for containerships

Zhoushan Changhong International Shipyards announced that on November 24 they signed an agreement with Aggeliki Frangou’s Navios Group for the construction of two (optionally two) container vessels with a capacity of 5,300 Teu each. The ships are expected to be delivered by the shipyard in 2024.

This is Navios’ second order to the yards after the agreement to build six ships, 5,300 Teu each last summer. The ships will have a length of 237.80 meters, a width of 38.80 meters, a draft of 21.80 meters and will join the DNV classification society.
