Bars and restaurants will be allowed to stay open until 2 a.m. only for New Year’s Eve. Nightclubs will be closed on New Year’s Eve, according to the announcements made recently by the Greek Health Minister, Mr. Thanos Plevris.
The other days, bars and restaurants will remain open until midnight. Customers should be only seated and only six people per table will be allowed.
The Health Minister added that the measures will be valid until mid-January, while he called on the citizens to get tested for Covid-19 before festive gatherings.
He also stressed that the rental of spaces for parties during the festive days will be prohibited.
All measures that will take effect from tomorrow at 6:00
- Bars and restaurants will be open until midnight – On the New Year’s Eve they will stay open until 2 a.m.

- Music ban
- Up to 6 people per table
- Mandatory use of a mask of high respiratory protection or double mask in supermarkets, in the means of transport and for the staff of bars and restaurants but also where there are a lot of people.
- Remote working in private and public sector up to 50% and rolling hours. The exact percentage will depend on the line of work.
- At the stadiums: Capacity will be lmited to 10% with a maximum of 1,000 people. If the measures are not followed, all the matches will be held with no audience.
- In retirement homes and restaurants visits will be limited only to those who have performed a PCR test.
