The event was co-organized by the Embassy of Greece and the EOT Office of the United Kingdom & Ireland with the invited delegations of the Municipalities of Alonissos and Astypalea. The presentation greeted by the Greek Ambassador Mr. Raptakis, was attended by selected British journalists, travel agents, Tour Operators and specialists in alternative forms of tourism.
The need to promote special tourist products of Greece such as Alonissos and Astypalea was underlined by the Head of the EOT Office Eleni Skarveli. The Municipality of Alonissos was represented by the Mayor Petros Vafinis and the member of the Tourism Committee Costas Efstathiou, who presented all the possibilities of the destination as well as the first underwater museum of Greece in the shipwreck of Peristera.
